Relvay makes a pregnancy pillow. We also tell you below when you should not buy one.

The short answer

Add the Full Body Attachment only if your legs or hips still need support after the base pillow has your bump and back covered. The attachment is sold as an add-on, not a full pillow. If a regular pillow between your knees already works, the base pillow alone does the main job.

  • Base box: pillow, cover, small extra pillow.
  • Attachment box: the long piece only.
  • Decider: what is between your knees now?

What comes with the BabyBub pillow, and what does the attachment add?

The base Bub's Maternity Pillow comes with the pillow, a cover and a small supplementary pillow for back, bump or leg support. The Full Body Attachment is a separate longer piece, and BabyBub says it does not include the base pillow.

So the bundle is base plus attachment. Here is what each option looked like on BabyBub's US store on October 8, 2026.

Where does the Full Body Attachment add support?

BabyBub describes two ways to use it: behind you as back support, or in front as a hug-style pillow for your bump and legs. Either way, it adds length below the base pillow, toward your hips and legs.

The base pillow is short on purpose. It holds the two spots most pregnant side sleepers struggle with, and leaves your legs to you. Many people put a regular pillow between their knees and never need more.

Lola was 31 weeks and had loved her base pillow since 24. Bump held, back held, and Theo could still reach her. But lately her top knee kept sliding forward off the regular pillow, and she woke with her hip complaining. She lay there scrolling the BabyBub page in the dark, thumb hovering over the add-on, wondering if a longer piece would fix the knee or just fill the bed.

"I just needed a pillow to go between my legs to keep my hips from hurting."Amazon review of a portable pregnancy pillow (not BabyBub)

"my husband can still cuddle me while I'm using the pillows and that I don't feel trapped inside the pillows"BabyBub customer review on babybub.com

The attachment does not upgrade the base pillow. It adds a third zone, and you only need it if that zone is a problem.

How does the attachment connect, and will it fit your pillow?

BabyBub's attachment page does not say how it connects to the base pillow or list its size, fill or care. Ask before you buy, especially if your base pillow is older or secondhand.

  1. How does it attach? Ask what joins it to the base pillow and where it sits once joined.
  2. Does it fit my version? If you bought your base pillow a while ago, ask whether the current attachment fits it.
  3. How big is it? Ask for length, width and thickness, so you can see how much more bed it takes.
  4. How do I wash it? The base cover washes at 60°C. Check the attachment has its own removable cover.
  5. Is it covered by the trial? BabyBub lists a 90-night trial. Ask whether that applies to the attachment bought alone.

BabyBub also makes sleeping-position and pain claims for the attachment, and shows a "Recommended by Doctors" badge without a source. We do not treat those as evidence either way.

Does the bundle take more of the bed?

Yes, some. The base pillow stays near your torso. The attachment adds a longer piece down toward your legs, so the setup gets longer and you have one more thing to move when you turn or get up.

How much more space we cannot say, because BabyBub does not publish the attachment's size. What owners say about the base pillow is consistent:

"I really like the babybub. It doesn't take up a lot of space and allows me to use my own regular pillow for my head."Reddit comment, collected by GummySearch

"I got the bundle with the longer attachment piece and it is well worth it."Reddit comment, collected by GummySearch

Both can be true. The base pillow is compact. The bundle is a bigger setup that some people find worth the room. If space is tight, read our guide to a pregnancy pillow for a small bed.

Base pillow or bundle: which should you buy?

Buy the base pillow alone if your bump and back are the problem and a regular pillow between your knees works. Buy the bundle if you already know you want something longer for your legs and hips, and the bundle price beats buying the two apart.

  • I have nothing between my knees yet: try a regular pillow there first.
  • My knee pillow keeps sliding out: the attachment may help. Ask how it connects.
  • I share a full or queen and space is tight: start with the base pillow.
  • I already own the base pillow: buy the attachment alone only after confirming it fits your version.
  • Ongoing hip pain: raise it with your midwife or doctor. A pillow is a comfort aid.

Lola did not add the attachment in the end. She tried a firmer regular pillow between her knees and ankles instead, so her top leg stayed level. Two nights later she slept through to six. Theo woke up with his arm still around her and said it was the first morning in weeks she had not sighed getting up.

Frequently asked questions

Does the BabyBub Full Body Attachment include the pillow?

No. BabyBub's attachment page says it includes only the attachment and does not include the base Bub's Maternity Pillow. Buy the bundle if you need both.

What comes in the BabyBub maternity pillow box?

BabyBub lists the pillow, a pillow cover and a small supplementary pillow you can use for your back, bump or legs.

How much is the BabyBub bundle?

On October 8, 2026, BabyBub listed the base pillow at $49.99, the attachment at $34.99 and the bundle at $79.99. Prices change often, so check the store.

Do I need the Full Body Attachment?

Only if your legs or hips still need support after your bump and back are covered. Many people use a regular pillow between their knees instead.

How do you wash a BabyBub pillow?

BabyBub says to remove the cover, wash it at 140°F (60°C) and tumble dry. The attachment page does not list care, so check its label.

If the base-pillow idea is what you are after

Relvay does not make BabyBub pillows or a full-body attachment, and if you already own a BabyBub base pillow, you do not need ours. The Relvay 3-Piece is a similar two-wedge idea: one crescent wedge under your bump, one at your back, joined by a flat strap under you, with a small oval cushion on the strap. There is no long add-on. Like Lola, you keep a regular pillow between your knees.

Relvay 3-Piece pregnancy pillow: two pink ribbed wedges joined by a flat strap, with a small oval cushion

Two wedges for bump and back, joined by a flat strap, about as wide as your torso. Keep a regular pillow between your knees. $79.99, 90-day returns.

Probably not for you if

  • You already own a BabyBub base pillow.
  • You want a long piece for your legs in the same set.
  • You want one pillow that wraps you from head to knees.

Worth a look if

  • You need bump and back support at once.
  • You share a full or queen bed.
  • You are happy using a regular pillow between your knees.
