Relvay makes a pregnancy pillow. We also tell you below when you should not buy one.

The short answer

Momcozy sells several pregnancy pillows, from a full U to a small portable set, and reviews mix them up. Confirm the model first, then the cover fabric, then whether the inner pillow can be washed at all.

  • Model: U, J, F with wedge, or portable.
  • Cover: velour, jersey or a cooling fabric.
  • Care: cover and inner pillow often differ.

Why is it hard to tell which Momcozy pillow a review is about?

Because the brand name covers several shapes and sizes, and shared links, gift lists and roundups often say just "the Momcozy pillow".

1:05 a.m.

It was July and I was 30 weeks. My sister had sent me a link with three words: "get the Momcozy". I had the fan on high, the duvet kicked to the floor, and the reviews open. One said the cover was too warm in summer. One said it was a lifesaver for travel. One said it took up half a queen bed.

It took me an embarrassingly long time to see that those were three different pillows. I had been about to buy the big one because of a travel review written about the small one.

Before you weigh any review, find the model name in it. If you cannot, it does not count yet.

Momcozy pregnancy pillow models: a version profile

These are the Momcozy pregnancy pillows we found described in public listings and reviews, with what each source said. Sizes and covers can change, so check yours against the live listing.

This review covers pregnancy pillows only. Momcozy also sells breast pumps and nursing gear, and we leave those out on purpose.

What do Momcozy buyers actually say?

Buyers praise support for bump and back and the strap that holds pieces together. The common complaints are warmth, bed space, scratchy fasteners and a small piece that feels too small late in pregnancy.

"The fact that you can strap the belly support pillow to the back support pillow is essential to why this works so well. Everything stays where you put it."Amazon review of the Momcozy F-shaped pillow with wedge

"the velor cover gets a bit warm in the warmer weather"Amazon review of the Momcozy F-shaped pillow with wedge

"This thing is pretty dang big, though. Took up a ton of our bed and we have a queen."Amazon review of the Momcozy F-shaped pillow with wedge

"I couldn't keep the Velcro from scratching me! Especially if you toss and turn at night"Amazon review of the Momcozy W-shaped portable pillow

"the half pillow by itself is a little too small to be effective on my 9 month bellow"Amazon review of the Momcozy W-shaped portable pillow

Notice how each complaint belongs to one model. The warm velour is the F-shaped set. The scratchy Velcro is the portable set. If you are buying the U, neither of those may apply, and others will.

Which Momcozy cover suits how you sleep?

If you run warm, skip velour and look at jersey or a cooling cover, then read the fabric line, not the word cooling. If you toss and turn, look for fasteners that sit away from your skin.

Velour and velvet feel soft and plush but hold heat, which is exactly what one F-shaped buyer reported. Jersey cotton is stretchy and familiar. A cooling cover is a fabric choice, and how cool it feels is the seller's description until you sleep on it. We have not tested any of them ourselves.

Kayla's fix that July was simple: she sorted her open tabs by cover fabric and closed every velour one.

Momcozy care checklist: covers, spares and washing

Check six things before you buy, because a pregnancy pillow gets washed far more often than a bed pillow. Most answers are on the listing or the sewn-in label.

Diagram of a pregnancy pillow taken apart into outer cover, inner pillow and fasteners, each with a care symbol slot
Cover, inner pillow and fasteners often have different care rules.
  • The cover is removable, with a zip long enough to get it off a curved pillow.
  • A spare or replacement cover is sold for this exact model.
  • You know whether the inner pillow can be washed, rinsed or only spot cleaned.
  • You know the drying method: air dry, or low heat.
  • Hook-and-loop fasteners can be closed before washing so they do not snag.
  • The return window is long enough to try it for a few weeks.

One retail listing for the F-shaped set says the core is easy to rinse and has an inner zip for the fill. Another for the U says the cover stays comfortable after many washes. Those are claims for those listings. Your care label is the final word.

Which Momcozy pillow fits which sleeper?

The U suits someone with space who wants everything in one piece. The J suits a committed one-side sleeper on a smaller bed. The F set and the portable set suit people who want bump and back held together without a full U.

A full U makes sense if

  • You have a king or sleep alone.
  • You want head, bump, back and legs covered.
  • You rarely leave the bed at night.

A smaller set makes sense if

  • You share a full or queen bed.
  • You travel during pregnancy.
  • You run warm and want less fabric around you.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes does the Momcozy pregnancy pillow come in?

It depends on the model. Listings and reviews describe a 57-inch U, a 40-inch J, an F-shaped set around 58 x 31 inches and a smaller portable set. Check the model name on your listing.

Is the Momcozy pregnancy pillow hot to sleep on?

Some buyers of the F-shaped set found the velour cover warm in summer. Jersey and cooling covers are also sold. How warm it feels depends on the cover on your model.

Can you wash a Momcozy pregnancy pillow?

The covers are removable and machine washable on the listings we read. Whether the inner pillow can be washed varies by model, so follow the sewn-in care label.

Is the Momcozy U-shaped pillow good for a queen bed?

It fits, but reviewers describe it as large. One buyer of a different Momcozy set said it took up a ton of their queen. Measure your half of the bed first.

Which Momcozy pillow is best for travel?

The portable W-shaped set is the one buyers mention packing for trips. Some found its Velcro scratchy when they turned at night.

If you want bump and back held together in a smaller set

We make one pregnancy pillow, and it is not a Momcozy model. The Relvay 3-Piece is two small wedges for bump and back joined by a flat strap under you. The top fabric is a soft ribbed velvet, so if you run very warm, weigh that honestly. It does not cover your head or knees, and we make no cooling claim for it.

Relvay 3-Piece pregnancy pillow: two pink ribbed wedges joined by a flat strap, with a small oval cushion

Two wedges for bump and back, joined by a flat strap, about as wide as your torso. Keep a regular pillow between your knees. $79.99, 90-day returns.

Probably not for you if

  • You want a full U from head to feet.
  • A cooling cover is your first filter.
  • You want one long pillow to hug.

Made for you if

  • You share a full or queen bed.
  • You want bump and back support joined together.
  • You want 90 days to decide in your own bed.
