Relvay makes a pregnancy pillow. We also tell you below when you should not buy one.

The short answer

Confirm three things: the layout, the gaps in the spec sheet, and the return terms. It is two small wedges for bump and back joined by a flat strap, nothing for your knees or head.

  • Published: price, parts, 90-day returns, free US shipping over $70.
  • Not yet published: exact fabric composition, fill type and fill weight.
  • Skip it if you want one pillow that wraps your whole body.

What exactly is the Relvay 3-Piece?

It is a set of three soft pieces: two crescent-shaped wedges and a small oval cushion that sits on a flat strap joining them. One wedge goes under your bump, one behind your lower back.

Bump wedgeTucks under the bump, thin edge toward your body, so the bump is resting on something instead of hanging.

Back wedgeThe same shape, snug against your lower back so you have something to lean into on your side.

Strap and small cushionThe flat strap runs under you and links the two wedges, so they do not drift apart. The small cushion sits on the strap. You set the distance as the bump grows.

What it is not: a full-body pillow. There is no knee section and no head section. You keep your normal head pillow and a regular pillow between your knees.

What has Relvay confirmed, and what is still missing?

We have published the price, the parts, the shipping threshold and the return window. We have not yet published the exact fabric composition, fill type or fill weight, and our product page says so.

Who is a two-wedge set made for?

It suits side sleepers who want bump and back support that stays together, and who do not want a big U pillow filling their side of the bed.

10:40 p.m.

I was 30 weeks with three tabs open. A U pillow I could not fit in our full bed, a single wedge that only did half the job, and this pink two-wedge thing. What I actually wanted to know was boring: what is it made of, how big is it, and what happens if it is wrong for me.

So I emailed and asked. The answer was straight: fabric and fill weight were not published yet, the wedge size was a supplier number, and I could send it back within 90 days but would pay the postage. Strangely, that is what made me trust it enough to try.

Opened out, the set is roughly as wide as your torso. That is the whole design idea: support where the bump and back need it, without claiming the middle of the bed.

"It doesn't take up our whole bed like the C/U pillows do"Customer review of a two-wedge pregnancy pillow, babybub.com

"The fact that you can strap the belly support pillow to the back support pillow is essential to why this works so well."Amazon review of a strapped wedge pregnancy pillow

These are reviews of other strapped wedge sets, not of Relvay.

What does the Relvay 3-Piece not do?

It does not support your knees, head or neck, and it is not a medical device. It is a comfort aid for side sleeping, nothing more.

  • No knee support. Keep a regular pillow between your knees and ankles, the way the NHS suggests.
  • No temperature claim. We will not call the cover cooling or breathable until the fabric spec is published.
  • No pain promise. Hip, pelvic or back pain that keeps going is a question for your midwife or doctor first.
  • No size guarantee for every body. Small wedges can feel too small late in pregnancy or on a larger frame. Check the size against your own bump.

"the half pillow by itself is a little too small to be effective on my 9 month bellow"Amazon review of a portable wedge pregnancy pillow

That review is about a different brand, but the risk is the same for any small wedge. If you are near the end of pregnancy or plus-size, use the return window to check it on your body.

What should you ask before you order?

Ask about the line that matters most to you, in writing, and keep the reply. Email support@relvay.com before you order if any of these decide it for you.

  1. Size against your bump. Measure your bump from side to side and compare it with the 17-inch wedge length.
  2. Fabric and fill. If you have a known allergy, ask whether the composition is available yet. If it is not, wait.
  3. Care. Ask how the cover comes off and what the inner wedge can and cannot take.
  4. Colour in stock. Our photos show the pink set. Check what the product page lists today.
  5. Returns. Note your delivery date. The 90 days start then.

If you still are not sure a wedge set is your type at all, our adjustable vs. full-body pillow guide compares them by routine.

How does it compare with a U pillow or a single wedge?

It sits between the two: more support than one wedge, much less bed space than a U.
