The short answer

The SnuzCurve is a 135 cm body pillow that runs from your shoulders to your ankles, with a shaped KneeBlade between the legs. It fits best when your body roughly matches that length.

  • Good sign: your shoulder-to-ankle length is close to 135 cm.
  • Check first which filling each zone uses today.
  • Skip it if wide knees already feel squeezed.

Who is the SnuzCurve pregnancy pillow for?

It is for side sleepers whose main trouble is the legs and hips: the knee pillow that slides out, the top leg that drops. It keeps your normal head pillow and starts at your shoulders.

I was 30 weeks and I had become an expert at one move: reaching down in the dark for the pillow that had slipped out from between my knees. My top leg would drop, my hip would wake me, and I would fish around under the duvet for a pillow that had wandered off to the foot of the bed.

So when I saw a pillow with a blade-shaped piece made to sit between the legs, I wanted it badly. Then I read one review saying the knee part felt narrow, and I am not a narrow person. I needed to know if it would fit me, not just whether it was clever.

A shaped pillow only helps if its shapes meet your body in the right places.

How does the two-zone SnuzCurve design work?

Snuz describes two working zones. The Upper Core Cushion sits against your chest and bump area, and the KneeBlade runs between your legs from the hips toward the ankles.

HeadStays on your own pillow. Snuz says the SnuzCurve works from the shoulders down.

Upper Core CushionMeant to stop your shoulders rolling forward and take some weight off the bump, per Snuz.

KneeBladeA shaped section between the legs, meant to guide them into a side-lying position with padding from hips to ankles.

The two zones only help when they meet your body: the core cushion at the chest, the blade between the knees.

Snuz says the design was developed with midwives, chiropractors, health visitors, physios and mums-to-be, and links it to easing back pain, hip pain and leg cramps. Those are the maker's claims. We found no published testing behind them, so read them as what the design is aiming for, not a result you can count on.

The question is not whether the KneeBlade idea is good. It is whether the blade lands between your knees or somewhere above them.

Will the SnuzCurve fit your body? A two-minute check

Compare your shoulder-to-ankle length with the pillow's 135 cm (about 53 inches). This is our own quick method, not a Snuz sizing guide.

  1. Lie on your side in your usual sleeping curl, knees slightly bent.
  2. Ask someone to measure from the top of your shoulder to your ankle bone, following the curve of your body.
  3. Compare with 135 cm. Within a few inches either way, the zones should land roughly where they are meant to.
  4. Much longer? The KneeBlade may sit at your knees but stop short of your ankles, or the core cushion may sit below your chest.
  5. Much shorter? The lower end may stick out past your feet. Usually harmless, but it adds bed length you do not use.
  6. Check the width between your knees with a folded towel. Find the thickness that feels right, measure it, and ask the seller how thick the KneeBlade is at the knee.

SnuzCurve specs: what is known and what to confirm

The size, weight and zone names are consistent across listings. The filling inside each zone is the detail to confirm, because older and newer listings do not say the same thing.

Why the filling matters: beads shift and mould around you, foam keeps its shape. A foam KneeBlade holds its width, which is great if that width suits your knees and less great if it does not. Ask the seller in writing which filling each zone uses on the version they ship.

Is the SnuzCurve worth it?

It is worth a look if your main problem is the knee pillow and your body is close to its length. It is pricey, and two independent reviewers had mixed feelings, so the fit check matters.

Reported strengths

Reported drawbacks

  • Some reviewers felt the knee section was not wide enough
  • Can take time to get used to
  • Called pricey by Mother&Baby

  • I can return it if the KneeBlade feels tight.

Three or four ticks? It is a reasonable buy. Fewer, start with our pregnancy pillow buying checklist.

Brynn measured 148 cm from shoulder to ankle and had wide knees. She decided the blade would not land where she needed it. She kept a plain pillow between her knees, which she could make any width she liked, and looked for separate support for the bump and back.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the SnuzCurve pregnancy pillow?

Snuz lists it at 135 by 30 by 25 cm, about 53 by 12 by 10 inches, and about 2 kg. It starts at your shoulders, so your head stays on your own pillow.

What is the SnuzCurve KneeBlade?

It is the shaped lower section that sits between your legs. Snuz says it guides the legs into a side-sleeping position and pads them from the hips toward the ankles.

What is the SnuzCurve filled with?

An older Snuz page described beads in the upper part and foam in the lower part. The current page we read did not say, so ask the seller which filling each zone uses before you buy.

Is the SnuzCurve good for wide hips or knees?

It depends on you. Some reviewers felt the knee section was not wide enough. Try the folded towel check in this guide and ask the seller for the blade thickness.

Can you wash the SnuzCurve?

The cover comes off and is machine washable. Follow the label for the inner pillow.

If the KneeBlade will not fit you

Relvay does not make a full-length body pillow or a shaped knee section, so this is not a SnuzCurve alternative like for like. What we make is a small 3-Piece set for the bump and back, and you choose your own knee pillow at whatever width suits you.
